LEATHER Furniture Care & Cleaning Instructions
For minor spills, promptly wipe with a soft, damp white cloth moistened with distilled water, allowing the leather to air-dry naturally. Avoid using hair dryers or heaters for drying. In cases of butter, oil, or grease spills, blot excess with a clean, dry cloth and refrain from applying water. Allow the spot to dissipate naturally into the leather. Protect leather from direct sunlight and heating vents to maintain suppleness and prevent fading. Regular dusting with a soft cloth and periodic vacuuming of crevices are recommended.
FABRIC Upholstered Furniture Care & Cleaning Instructions
All fabrics within the WOODBINE by DHANSRI INFRAX Private Limited line are labelled with Cleaning Code “S”. Spot clean using a water-free dry-cleaning solvent, pretesting a small, inconspicuous area beforehand. Avoid saturating the fabric and refrain from using water. Pile fabrics may benefit from gentle brushing with a non-metallic, soft bristle brush to restore appearance. Cushion covers should not be removed for dry cleaning.
To prevent overall soiling, vacuum or brush lightly with a non-metallic, soft bristle brush regularly. In case of spills, promptly blot to remove spilled material without focusing solely on spots or stains. Rotate cushions and vacuum crevices regularly, and clean all pieces simultaneously to maintain uniformity in colour. Professional upholstery cleaning is highly recommended to preserve warranty coverage.
FEATHER AND DOWN CUSHIONS
Maintain the comfort and appearance of feather and down cushions by regularly “fluffing” them. Gently drop the cushion on its border on all four sides to separate and aerate the feathers, preventing compression and preserving the luxurious look and feel of feather blends.
WOOD Furniture Care & Cleaning Instructions
Preserve the quality of your wood furniture by avoiding direct sunlight and extreme temperatures, as fluctuations in humidity can cause warping. Utilize coasters, pads, or felt to protect surfaces, and employ protective mats for hot dishes or when writing with a pen. Lift objects rather than dragging them to prevent surface damage. Immediately blot spills with a clean cloth, and regularly dust using a soft, lint-free cloth.
Refrain from using harsh fabrics or disposable dusting towels, as they may scratch the surface. opt for a non-silicone, non-wax polish, and avoid using soap, water, or wax for cleaning.
STEEL & STAINLESS-STEEL Furniture Care & Cleaning Instructions
To preserve the pristine appearance of steel and stainless-steel furniture, utilize coasters, pads, cloth, or felt to safeguard surfaces. Place protective mats under hot dishes and promptly wipe up spills. Clean with a soft, damp cloth and ensure thorough drying to prevent water spots. Avoid abrasive cleaners, chemical solvents, strong detergents, and bleach-based products. For stainless steel, consider using a specialized stainless-steel cleaner to effectively remove spots and maintain shine.
NICKEL, BRASS, COPPER, PEWTER AND SILVER Furniture Care & Cleaning Instructions
Prevent tarnishing and maintain the lustre of nickel, brass, copper, pewter, and silver furniture by keeping them dry. Refrain from using abrasive cleaners that may scratch or dull surfaces. Apply metal cleaner with a soft, lint-free cloth, employing straight back-and-forth motions for uniformity. Avoid direct contact with undiluted liquid dish-washing detergents, as they can harm the finish. Employ protective measures such as coasters, pads, cloth, or felt to shield surfaces from damage.
IRON AND BRONZE Furniture Care & Cleaning Instructions
Iron and bronze pieces require occasional waxing for maintenance, with increased frequency in high traffic or humid areas. Employ protective measures such as coasters, pads, cloth, or felt to safeguard surfaces from damage. Promptly wipe up spills and clean with a soft, damp cloth, ensuring thorough drying. Avoid abrasive cleaners, chemical solvents, strong detergents, and bleach-based products.
STONE Furniture Care & Cleaning Instructions
Delicate stones such as marble, granite, limestone, and cement require gentle cleaning with neutral cleaners to preserve their finish. Avoid acidic substances, as they can etch the surface. Promptly blot liquid spills and use a clean cloth dampened with lukewarm water for regular cleaning. Employ coasters, pads, cloth, or felt to protect surfaces from damage.
GLASS/MIRRORED GLASS Furniture Care & Cleaning Instructions
Low maintenance glass and mirrored surfaces require weekly cleaning with a slightly damp cloth. Employ felt protectors to prevent scratching, and ensure proper weight distribution for items placed on glass surfaces. Utilize protective measures such as coasters, pads, cloth, or felt to maintain surface integrity.
RESIN AND ACRYLIC Furniture Care & Cleaning Instructions
Resin and acrylic surfaces are susceptible to scratching and marking, requiring protection from sharp objects. RELOCATING FURNITURE:
When relocating chairs, ensure they are lifted and not dragged. Wrap the hand rest, seat, and back with corrugated paper pack and poly pack before transportation. Assembly instructions for both chairs are available upon request from our Service Department.
All fixings, such as plastic knobs of mechanisms, which may need replacing over time, will be supplied upon request by our Service Department. Never attempt to forcefully dismantle chairs. If dismantling is necessary, please contact us for guidance.
RECOMMENDED MAINTENANCE:
In addition to regular cleaning as per our guidelines provided elsewhere in this document, our furniture requires minimal maintenance. If any components appear loose, investigate the cause promptly and tighten the appropriate fixings where possible. If this does not resolve the issue, please contact our Service Department.
Never use oil or Mobil oil on wheels or mechanisms. If they appear stiff in operation, applying oil may cause marks on plastic parts, fabric, or foam net of the seat or back. Please check and correct definitions as necessary.
